Apply for our Effective Altruism Introductory Program

How can we use the world’s resources to best help others? How can we tackle some of the world’s most pressing problems, including ending global poverty and factory farming, mitigating technological risks, preventing future pandemics, and stopping climate change? How can IIITD students find fulfilling and impactful careers?

The Effective Altruism Intro. Program is an eight-week long program that engages with these questions and explores the core concepts and ideas within the Effective Altruism community. We hope the fellowship will provide you with a framework for figuring out how you can make a difference in the world.

Depending on the semester and your grade, the program can also be taken as a Self-Growth course for 1/2 credits under PhiloSoc!

What does it include?

  • Weekly 60-minute discussion with your cohort

  • Cohorts consist of 4-5 fellows and one facilitator

  • An hour or two of materials (readings, videos, etc.) to go through each week

  • Free books at that;)

  • Opportunities to meet other intro fellows at IIITD and make lasting connections!
